Our client is a well-established, family-owned business with over 40 years of success in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Operating across both the UK and US, they have built a strong portfolio of globally recognised franchise brands. As they continue to expand both through acquisitions and new brand partnerships, they are now seeking a highly capable Financial Controller to join their London head office.

As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. Leading a team within the Finance department, you will be responsible for managing budgets, cash flow forecasting, performance analysis, tax compliance, and audit requirements across multiple territories.

You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and support the continued growth of the business. The role will also involve preparing monthly management accounts, supporting M&A activity, and mentoring finance staff.

Duties

• Lead the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance reports
• Produce and review monthly management accounts
• Monitor and manage working capital and financial KPIs
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and audit requirements across all jurisdictions
• Support M&A initiatives and integration activities
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve financial processes and systems
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
• Oversee ERP systems and maintain financial data integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role
• Strong knowledge of Sage 200 and experience working with ERP systems
• Experience in multi-site or multi-entity environments
• Hospitality or franchise sector experience is highly advantageous
• Confident, commercially minded, and capable of influencing senior stakeholders
• Reports directly to the CEO
